Welcome to GeoHex Knowledge Based Decision Support System
The GeoHex project aims to improve the heat transfer performance of the
heat exchangers and scaling & corrosion issues by developing novel
materials for the surface of heat exchangers.
The GeoHex Decision-Support System (DSS) tool guide the user by
providing various solutions for novel GeoHex materials. For example,
users could evaluate the environmental and economic impacts of novel
GeoHex-enabled heat exchangers.
The modules in the GeoHex DSS: - Sustainability module: This module evaluates the cost
and environmental impacts of the standard and GeoHex-enabled heat
exchangers. Users also would be able to evaluate the impact of GeoHex
materials considering the use case scenario.
- Simulation and Image processing module:This module
process and anlyse the bubble and droplet videos/images using deep
learning algorithm to see the impact of GeoHex materials. This module
can analyse any bubble or droplet videos/images.
- Data processing: This module calculates the overall
heat transfer coefficient of standard and GeoHex materials for the
boiling/condensation experimental data measured using GeoHex
experimental rig. Using this module, users can calculate materials'
overall heat transfer coefficient while uploading their experimental
data from condensation and evaporation experiments
- Financial tool: This module calculates the Levelised
Cost Of Energy (LCOE) considering the standard and GeoHex-enabled heat
exchangers. GeoSmart solutions/innovations.
- Thermodynamic module: This module evaluates the net
output power at the turbine and thermal efficiency and provides
auto-selection of working fluid with the working fluid pressure at the
outlet of the pump.
